Hello Moonbean! 

Let’s start with some definitions, as the right words are medicine to the soul.

moonbean (noun, origin: recently invented)

A creature of light disguised as an ordinary human; a human bean made of moonbeams. Prone to finding beauty in the details, collecting creative hobbies, forgetting to breathe, often possessing the ability to cry on command, behaviors developed as compensatory survival mechanisms due to emotional injuries accrued from thinking & feeling deeply. Shines brightest on darkest nights. May or may not love puns.

conservatory (noun, from Latin conservare, "to preserve, to keep safe")

1. A beautiful, glass-walled room; a protected place where delicate things can grow, that lets all the light in that it can, on rainy and sunny days alike. 

2. A place where the art of music is taught — historically, starting with Italian orphanages that trained abandoned children in music as a trade, to make beauty out of ugly circumstances. 

WHAT COOL WORDS. I love them. Anywho, now that we've got that down...

My mission with what I do as an artist is to help us reconnect with the beauty and wonder of life, and so doing, build the courage to choose joy in a complicated world.

That is why I have put together The Conservatory for Moonbeans who share that same mission to grow together.

I love that both meanings of the word (the greenhouse and the place of protected art) come from the same root. Because I think they're really the same idea. Art is how we preserve our lives. It's how we feed and protect our souls and make sense of things in an often harsh world.

In that spirit, The Conservatory is where I share songs while they're still wee lil’ seedlings! voice memos, half-finished lyrics, raw ideas without polish!

Nothing here is meant to be perfect. It's meant to show the beauty in every stage of growth, both so you can enjoy music that you may never hear anywhere else, that will hopefully be a solace to you, and to encourage you to see the beauty in your own growth and creativity.

I would like it to be a place that helps you on your own journey as well… a place to be awkward little seedlings and beautiful blooming flowers all at once, a place to cultivate wonder, healing, and joy, together.
